  • 10th grade, students choose their career path and take courses that are tailored to their interests and aspirations.
  • 11th grade, students work on building a portfolio that showcases their academic and extracurricular achievements, as well as their career readiness skills.
  • 12th grade, students participate in internships and apprenticeships to gain real-world experience and prepare for their future careers.

Project Based Learning

At Victory Futures Academy, we believe that Project Based Learning (PBL) is a crucial component of our curriculum. We strive to provide our students with the opportunity to engage in authentic, real-world experiences that will help them develop the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed for success in college, career, and life. Here are some key ways we do PBL at VFA:

  • Projects are student-driven: We encourage our students to take ownership of their learning by selecting topics and projects that are meaningful and relevant to their lives and interests.
  • Cross-disciplinary: Our projects are designed to incorporate multiple subject areas and skills, giving students a more holistic understanding of the topic.
  • Collaborative: We believe that learning is a social process, so our projects are often designed to involve teamwork and collaboration between students.
  • Real-world connections: Our projects often involve working with local businesses or organizations to solve real-world problems or address community needs.
  • Rigorous assessment: Our projects are assessed using a variety of methods, including rubrics, self-reflection, and peer feedback, to ensure that students are meeting rigorous academic standards.

Hybrid Learning

At Victory Futures Academy, we believe that learning should extend beyond the classroom. That's why we have developed a hybrid learning model that combines online education with real-world experiences. Our hybrid model allows students to work at their own pace and gives them the flexibility to tailor their education to their individual needs and interests.

  • Combines online education with real-world experiences
  • Allows students to work at their own pace
  • Tailors education to individual needs and interests
  • Weekly visits to the local library or college for research and project-based learning
  • Develops essential skills such as time management and independent learning
  • Prepares students for college and the workforce
